Photobiological safety of the LEDs

In the glare-reduced version V2 of W+W FixLED, the PVC sheathing is construed in a way that the bright LED light is softened and direct glare is reduced.
In general it is sufficient to choose the length of the shaft lighting next smaller than the shaft height.
If there are devices like for example the frequency converter in the shaft head or the pit, it is recommended to fasten the LED band also horizontally at the wall or the ceiling, in order to achieve a better illumination (e.g. shaft height + 2m).

FixLED Glare-reduced V2 is NOT suitable for permanent lighting (24/7)!

The W+W FixLED shaft lighting glare-reduced has been tested for its photobiological safety according to IEC 62471. This standard is used to evaluate the photobiological safety of optical radiation generated by lamps.
Through a measurement procedure, the LED luminaires are classified into three risk groups RG0, RG1, RG2 and RG3.

W+W FixLED glare-reduced belongs to group RG0, which means that there is no risk and no danger of damage to the eye, even when looking continuously in the direction of the light source (unlimited exposure time).

Scope of delivery

LED band ready for connection with 10m supply cable and plug. Length of the LED band and plug depending on the choice. Bag with small parts with 40 cable ties, cable fixing dowels Ø 6mm and mounting instruction. The plug can be cut off as needed. In this case the supply line is connected to the terminal strip in the lift control.
